The Opportunity Goal Group is seeking a Defence sector experienced Supply Chain Manager with current experience in supply chain optimisation ideally within the maritime domain, to join our team in Sydney.
Your role will involve identifying and evaluating suppliers in terms of:
Resilience and Security : Ensuring the supply chain can withstand disruptions, whether due to geopolitical tensions, natural disasters, or cyber threats.
This includes diversifying suppliers and securing critical materials.
Cost Efficiency : Balancing cost reduction with the need to maintain high standards of quality and compliance.
This involves streamlining processes, reducing waste, and leveraging economies of scale.
Advanced Technologies : Implementing technologies like AI, IoT etc, to improve visibility, traceability, and decision-making across the supply chain.
Collaboration and Integration : Enhancing collaboration between manufacturers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless operations and timely delivery of products.
Compliance and Standards : Adhering to stringent regulatory requirements and industry standards to ensure the safety and reliability of Defence products.
Risk Management : Conducting thorough risk assessments and developing contingency plans to mitigate potential supply chain disruptions.
Utilise the AIC Program and Framework, a key element in optimising the supply chain for Defence in Australia.
About You You will ideally have an understanding of and experience in:
Supply chain design, supply chain planning, and supply chain execution within the Defence manufacturing industry.
Possessing an understanding of Defence procurement processes.
Experience liaising/negotiating with OEMs.
Possessing an understanding of the Australian Industry Capability (AIC) Program and Framework.
An understanding of Defence supply chain systems such as MILIS and Navallow.
A background in Logistics/ILS within the Australian Defence industry would be advantageous but not essential.
