About the opportunity ? The Senior Communications Manager is part of the team that carries responsibility for protecting and enhancing Australia Post's reputation, which is achieved through the delivery of Australia Post's communications strategy.
Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Communications, you will have responsibility for creating one true voice throughout internal communications and flow through to some external.
You will partner with senior leaders across the enterprise, managing the enterprise's communication channels and/or leading enterprise communications, including Business Continuity Planning and implementation and operational communications.
The Senior Communications Manager will develop and implement communications that directly supports the work conducted across the enterprise, working with senior stakeholders across all areas of the business, including Australia Post's commercial and strategic objectives.
This role will work to implement and bring to life AP's positions and decisions via managing resources and activities within the Communications team.
Critical to this role will be working collaboratively across the Enterprise Communications and Business Unit teams, PR and Media teams, as well as operational teams in Business Continuity Planning and management.
You will build effective relationships at all levels of the business and develop a deep understanding of business needs and stakeholder audiences.
You'll be responsible for: Playing a key role in the development and delivery of the Communications strategy and the strategic initiatives that will improve communication and engagement for our team members Representing the Communications function on enterprise-wide working groups, including Business Continuity Planning ( BCP ) and managing the BCP communications plans Provide best practice strategic communication advice to engage and transform our customer communications during Peak and other key enterprise projects Building trusted relationships with leaders across Australia Post, prepare communication plans, messaging and presentations, as needed Working with Business Unit Communications team members to develop a deep understanding of the priorities, issues and opportunities to work collaboratively Supporting key enterprise projects and initiatives by developing and advising on communications approaches to enhance team member and stakeholder engagement Working with Executive Managers and the Collaboration team to deliver key events (e.g.
Town Halls) in both face to face and virtual formats that lead the best-practice use of technology available Identifying external opportunities to leverage media and Executive thought leadership to promote internally and encourage team members to share with their social professional networks Collaborating with the wider Communications team to ensure consistency of business messages and alignment with enterprise-wide programs, and driving the Enterprise Communications activity and campaigns Working with the Head of Enterprise to identify opportunities for innovation for the team and manage new projects About you ? A seasoned communications expert and leader you're calm under pressure and can work through issues quickly and methodically.
You are a fierce advocate for the customer and can translate complex information into easy-to-understand communications with ease.
Action-oriented, organised, and driven by data you are efficient, adaptable and have a solution-focused attitude.
You're inquisitive, proactive, eager to get stuff done, and enjoy building strong relationships with team members and stakeholders across the business.
What are we looking for?
