As one of WA's leading disability support agencies, we're searching for an enthusiastic and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our Allied Health Team.
The multidisciplinary team includes Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech Pathologists, Clinical Nurses, and Positive Behaviour Practitioners who work across the metro area, supporting people in our shared living houses.
The current vacancy is a full-time, permanent position, though we offer a flexible working environment and are open to candidates seeking a part-time position, with options for reduced days e.g., school hours considered for the right applicant.
The position is open to Occupational Therapists across levels of previous experience, with clinical and operational supervision and support, and professional development opportunities tailored to the individual's needs and interests.
What you'll do: Undertake assessment of participants in shared living and community-based environmentsProvide direct therapy services, adaptive equipment recommendations and environment modificationsComplete various assessments and reports, including Functional Capacity Assessments (FCAs), Sensory Profiling, equipment applications, and NDIS progress and review reportsBuild and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including participants, families, support workers and the wider allied health teamRemain committed to the NDIS practice standards under the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework, and organisational policies and procedures and code of conductYou will need: NDIS Workers Screening CheckTertiary qualification in Occupational TherapyCurrent full registration with the Australian Health Practitioners' Regulation Agency (AHPRA)Flexible, responsive approach in working with individuals and their families with commitment to a person-centred approach to careAbility to work autonomously and as member of a multidisciplinary teamHigh level interpersonal and communication skills as well as a positive 'can do' attitudeDemonstrate a commitment to Identitywa's valuesThe ability to work effectively within a team and manage a caseloadWilling to obtain a NDIS Worker Orientation certificateDesirable: Experience in the assessment and prescription of aids and equipmentWhat we can offer: Attractive salary packaging options up to $18,550 pa.Friendly and supportive teamsFlexible working optionsStaff Recognition ProgramAmple training and professional development opportunitiesSubsidised Gym Membership via Fitness Passport for a healthier lifestyleHow to apply: Please refer to the JDF on our website for full details on the work-related requirements for the role and apply through our website or with your CV and cover letter.
