About the Role: As a Regional Health and Safety Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and the environment.
You will be responsible for providing expert guidance and leadership in the implementation, monitoring, and review of our Health and Safety, Environment, and Injury Management systems across the WA/SA business unit.
Based in our Perth CBD office, this position will work collaboratively with the WA/SA leadership and project delivery teams along with the national Health and Safety teams.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide advice, support, and guidance to Management and staff to assist in the facilitation provision of relevant information and expertise, to facilitate health, safety, and environmental.Assist in providing Senior Management with authoritative advice on corporate and local risks associated with Zero Harm performance of the HSE Management System and other strategic and local technical HSE matters.Provide advice to departments and Facilities regarding health, safety, and environmental management system matters, including support on tender and bid documents.Ensure risks are accurately identified, contained, and countermeasures are put in place.Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety plans and policies aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.Plan and conduct internal HSE audits to measure suitability and effectiveness of planned arrangements across all facilities to provide advice, support, and monitor safe behaviours.Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.Provide training and education to employees on health and safety matters, including emergency procedures.Manage and maintain health and safety records and documentation.Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation and regulations.Collaborate with management and staff to promote a positive health and safety culture.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Health and Safety, Occupational Health, or a related field.Proven experience in a similar role within the Tier 1 construction industry, preferably with experience dealing with WA resource clients.Strong knowledge of Work Health & Safety, Environmental, or Rail Safety legislative requirements.Demonstrated experience in implementing health and safety management systems, and providing guidance and advice to managers and staff regarding best practice Health Safety & Environment matters.Able to evaluate information quickly, identifying key issues and formulate conclusions based on sound, practical judgement, experience, and common sense.DTI Culture & BenefitsDTI are a flexible employer, supportive of hybrid working arrangements and work-life balance.Exclusive programs that offer reduced cost private health cover and gym memberships, classes, massages, and other wellbeing-related treatments.Access to NAWIC membership and events.Complimentary end-of-trip facilities.DT Infrastructure is committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace that champions opportunity and respect.
