At Goal Group we are proud of our workforce, we are inclusive and diverse by choice.The OpportunityWe are seeking the expertise of a Commercial Project Manager to join our team in Canberra, supporting Key maritime projects that deliver critical Defence capability in support of Australia's war fighters in executing Defence's mission to defence Australia and it's national interests.As a Commercial Project Manager, you will bring your extensive commercial, contract and procurement and project management experience to help facilitate the development of contract governance document, contract change proposals and financial management. You will understand the factors leading to acquisition project success, including the capability lifecycle from strategy and inception through to in-service support and disposal.You will work alongside Commonwealth project team members, supporting the progress of projects through the One Defence Capability System, including development of key documents supporting project clearance through Defence capability gate reviews.Liaise with Defence and non-Defence stakeholders.Facilitate, develop and administer delivery of acquisition and sustainment contracts with key Defence industry partners.Coordinate Fundamental Inputs to Capability.Manage risk and issues, facilitate workshops and maintain associated registers.Undertake regular project reporting and management of dashboards.Manage arrangements with overseas parties, such as non-Australian Defence and government bodiesAbout youA project management qualification and experience working within the Defence acquisition and sustainment projects space.Possess excellent interpersonal skills.Ability to focus on outcomes in a dynamic, changing, complex environment.Ability to make a quality contribution to a team composed of multiple roles in multiple locations.NV2 AGSVA clearance OR ability to upgrade NV1 to an NV2 security clearanceExperience working within the Maritime domains of DefenceBenefits of joining Goal GroupSuperannuation above SGA rates;Super Salary Sacrificing;Loyalty Leave;Weekly pay cycle;Training and mentoring;Generous referral program;Shopping discounts and wellness programs;Novated LeasingInteresting and meaningful project work on large Defence Projects;Fast growing organisation offering tremendous opportunity for growth and development;Work / life Balance - family friendly / flexible work options (in accordance with Project/client requirements) and;Goal Group supports Reservists and the Reserves Program.We welcome and encourage applications from women, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders and Veterans for these opportunities.
