Provide expert-level strategic direction, professional leadership, and professional governance expertise for the allied health and clinical assistant workforce across Metro North Mental Health.
As a member of the Metro North Mental Health (MNMH) Executive Leadership Team, the Director of Allied Health provides expert-level strategic direction, professional leadership, and professional governance expertise for the allied health and clinical assistant workforce across MNMH's multiple hospital, community facilities, as well as state-wide Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drug Services (MHAODS).
Additionally, this role encompasses the responsibility of strategically advocating for allied health and clinical assistants ensuring their perspectives, needs, and contributions are acknowledged and integrated into service-line, directorate and state-wide MHAODS planning and initiatives, fostering the growth and impact of this workforce across the broader healthcare landscape.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
Apply expert clinical knowledge and comprehensive understanding of strategic, resource, financial and/or clinical practice issues affecting multi-disciplinary allied health service delivery to ensure the management of clinical services across the directorate is aligned with clinical standards, goals, and MNMH and MNH imperatives.
Lead and contribute to state strategies to develop policy, service development, workforce development and planning and evaluation initiatives as a key member of allied health MHAOD state-wide committees.
Provide professional counsel and authoritative advice regarding allied health service delivery to the MNMH Executive Director, MNMH Executive Leadership Team, MNH Chief Allied Health Practitioner, other Directors of Allied Health, MNH Chief Executive, state-wide networks and others, informing strategic level management processes.
