Are you an experienced Risk and Compliance Business Partner with a passion for driving social impact for children and young people?
The Risk and Compliance Business Partner promotes a culture of compliance and risk management within Youth off The Streets (YOTS).
This position involves implementing, coordinating, monitoring, and continuously enhancing our risk management, compliance, and quality frameworks.
The Business Partner will work collaboratively with all business units to ensure accountability and adherence to regulatory obligations, standards, codes, and internal policies.
They will provide guidance on compliance and risk management practices, ensuring consistent application throughout the organisation.

Youth Off The Streets is a not-for-profit youth organisation that provides safety, support and opportunities for young people to build a positive future.
We offer crisis accommodation and housing services, alternative high school education, alcohol and other drugs counselling, youth justice support, life skills and employment programs, cultural support and community engagement, among other services.
We focus on early interventions that empower young people and strengthen communities.
Key responsibilities:
Implementation and Coordination In consultation with the Risk & Compliance Senior Manager, implement the risk and compliance management processes for the organisation.
Implement and oversee risk control actions and compliance obligations.
Contribute to projects with specialist risk and compliance advice.
Provide specialist training and education to business units.
Risk Management and Improvement Identify and implement improvements to the risk management process and risk controls.
Assist managers with identifying and assessing the risks affecting the business.
Capture and address new or emerging risks.
Monitor, evaluate, and challenge the organisation's success in managing its risk.
Compliance and Regulatory Adherence Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and internal policies.
Monitor compliance obligations.
Assist in policy reviews to meet regulatory and standard requirements.
Assist in the attainment of accreditation for various regulatory bodies.
Assist the organisation to embed continuous quality improvement.
Internal Audits and Systems Assist with internal audits as part of the internal audit program.
Ensure that incidents are reported, mitigated, and managed until closure.
Proficiency, management and continuous improvement of all registers in the Governance Risk and Compliance System.
Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration Partner with the business to ensure operational execution is in line with the YOTS Risk Appetite Statement.
Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance risk management practices.
Work closely with the WHS Specialist.
Additional Responsibilities Undertake additional risk and compliance initiatives as required.
Strong understanding of privacy laws and best practice for maintaining confidentiality.
Meet organisational requirements to participate in events, training, and any other required tasks.
Demonstrate strong evaluation and data analysis skills.
Maintain professional boundaries with clients and stakeholders.
Selection Criteria:
5 years' experience in a relevant position Professionalism: Always demonstrate a high standard of professionalism and act in the best interest of YOTS and the young people we serve.
Due Diligence: Exercise due diligence in reporting any concerns regarding the treatment of young people in our services or the conduct of colleagues.
Confidentiality: Maintain privacy and confidentiality at all times.
Strong Communication Skills: Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, with enthusiasm to promote high levels of compliance and ethical behaviour.
Commitment to Service Excellence: Strong dedication to delivering outstanding service and enhancing systems and processes.
Multi-tasking Ability: Proven capability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and operate in a timely manner.
Interpersonal and Organisational Skills: Excellent skills in relating to and working effectively with staff at various levels, both independently and as part of a team.
Written and Oral Communication: Exceptional written and oral communication skills, including persuasive writing and the ability to present complex information accurately and authoritatively to diverse audiences.
Project Management: Proficient in managing projects effectively.
Computer Proficiency: Skilled in using the MS Office suite and Folio.
Advisory Skills: Ability to provide authoritative and timely risk and compliance advice to management.
Positive Attitude: A 'can-do' attitude, results-oriented, and genuinely passionate about risk and compliance.
Hands-on Approach: Practical and outcomes focused.
Ethical Integrity: Highly ethical, credible, and possessing strong integrity.
