Our client is 100% Australian owned and operated, whose products are marketed worldwide.
They have established themselves as a market leader in process and manufacturing.
Due to growth, we're seeking an Environmental Manager to join their team in the Hunter Valley.
Reporting to the Group Manager – Maintenance and Projects, the Environmental Manager is responsible for the implementation, maintenance and monitoring of the Environmental Management System, and environmental legislative compliance.

This role presents an opportunity for either an experienced Environmental Manager or Officer to take the next step in their career and manage an Environmental and Sustainability Program, or an opportunity for a student/recent graduate to take on a new challenge and be mentored into the role.
We are open to discussions with anyone who believes they have the ability to meet the requirements of the role, and remuneration will be discussed commensurate to experience.

The role:Drive Environmental and Sustainability goalsConduct Environmental monitoring and inspection activitiesCoordinate and provide day-to-day specialist advice and support to internal stakeholdersIdentify and effectively manage Environmental and Sustainability risksEstablish, monitor and report on key Environmental and Sustainability objectivesMonitor, measure and evaluate Environmental and Sustainability data and reports and act to resolve non-conformancesAssist in the establishment of internal reporting mechanisms to the Senior Leadership TeamImplement continuous review and improvement of our Environmental Management SystemActively participate in new projects and programsMaintain up-to-date knowledge on all relevant legal, regulatory and company environmental requirements, ensuring management and staff are kept informed of any relevant changes and the organization continues to comply with its requirementsBe willing to travel between operational locations as required What we're looking for:Tertiary education in an Environmental or Sustainability fieldSound understanding of relevant legislation, standards and principlesDemonstrated ability to undertake investigations and researchStrong stakeholder management skillsAbility to manage competing demands and prioritiesExcellent problem solving and communication skills Benefits:Negotiable salary based on experienceFull-time permanent positionOpportunity for further education and training
