Venues NSW is a commercially focused agency of the NSW Government, encompassing the Sydney Cricket Ground and Allianz Stadium as well as major sporting and cultural stadiums and precincts in Sydney, Olympic Park, Parramatta, Newcastle and Wollongong.
The network of stadiums and entertainment centres hosts in excess of 5 million people a year at more than 500 events and is a key contributor to the economy.
Venues NSW takes an integrated approach to our stadia and entertainment centres by developing partnerships with sporting codes, the entertainment and event industry, audiences, local businesses, NSW Government agencies and community groups.
Our network throughout NSW allows us to combine internal resources and harness a vast employee skillset, all of which helps us deliver key projects and secure outstanding content.
About the Sporting Club of Sydney
Located in Moore Park, the Sporting Club of Sydney is a premium facility where Members and their guests enjoy first-class amenities and services for all their health and wellness needs.
Completed in late August 2022, the facility boasts strength, cardio and functional training zones, an outdoor training terrace, as well as separate mind body, cycle and group fitness studios.
An indoor 25m pool, outdoor 50m pool, spa, cold plunge, steam, traditional sauna and infrared sauna rooms, an indoor/outdoor café, day spa, golf simulator and child-minding facility are available for Members and their guests.
About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager – Member and Customer Experience, the Sporting Club of Sydney Manager role will be responsible for overseeing the efficient management and day-to-day operations of the facility as well as being a key driving force behind the creation and implementation of the facility's vision and direction alongside the General Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Developing and implementing the overall strategic planning framework in alignment with the Sporting Club of Sydney's vision.
Providing leadership and guidance to a high-performing team and fostering a culture of exceptional customer service.
Developing and managing the annual budget and maintaining awareness of external and internal environmental and industry changes to enhance Member engagement and satisfaction.
Overseeing the maintenance of the facility and its amenities to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
About You
Venues NSW is seeking a passionate, results-oriented and committed manager to lead the Sporting Club of Sydney.
The successful candidate is a dynamic leader with a proven track record in sports and facility management, complemented by experience in managing large diverse teams and developing innovative fitness and recreational programs.
Previous experience working in a premium facility is also highly desirable.
Excellent leadership and communication skills with a customer-centric approach are needed to ensure strong relationships with key stakeholders, tenants and contractors of the Sporting Club of Sydney.
