About the opportunity
The BEN+ 3LOD Program is working to enhance our risk capability and culture and ensure Bendigo Bank will remain Australia's most trusted bank into the future.
As a risk enabled organisation, we need to ensure that our people have the right skills, tools and processes to make sound data informed decisions.
Reporting to the BEN+ Stream Lead, the role of the BEN+ Senior Risk SME (12-month contract) will be the delivery of program impact and business engagement activities within the 3LOD workstream program.
Key elements of the role include the development of strategic implementation plans and embedment of key 3LOD Stream activity into business areas.
The BEN+ Senior Risk SME will drive organisational change, engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
In this role you'll get to:
Utilise your Operational Risk knowledge to contribute to the effective design and delivery of the Banks strategic 3LOD plans.
Ensure appropriate engagement of Program Management related stakeholders.
Work closely with key stakeholders to understand performance drivers and business needs.
Communicate effectively with audiences of all levels, making the complex understandable and engaging.
Facilitation of workshops with key business and stream stakeholders.
Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
Provide SME challenge and input on various Program (BEN+) activities to support achievement of the Program target outcome statements.
Assist with the effective governance of the Program (including supporting the production of PMO reporting, status updates, drafting Board/ Committee papers, developing and refining success indicators/ metrics, etc.).
Collation and timely submission of closure packs for assurance.
Supporting effective PMO governance processes to increase efficiency and quality of BEN+ outcomes, including supporting the production of Program reporting and papers (including but not limited to status reporting, SteerCo packs, Board/ Committee papers, Program success metrics, etc.).
Work closely with activity leads, project, and change management resources, business SMEs, Transformation Business Owners, Practice Leads, Delivery Owners, Business Design Practice, and Senior Manager Portfolio Management.
What you'll bring to the role
To be successful in the role you will have:
Significant level of direct experience within Operational Risk in Banking or Financial Services sector.
Tertiary qualifications in Risk, Business or similar disciplines preferred.
Demonstrated experience working with strategic partners and external vendors.
Senior change management expertise on a large scale.
