Delivering a range of property services, including reactive repairs, planned and cyclical maintenance services to over 100 local authorities and housing providers nationwide.
About the Role : We have a great opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join our team.
As our Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for managing all costs relating to our projects.
Your focus is to minimise the costs of a project and enhance margin and value for money, whilst still achieving the required standards and quality.
This will also include procurement, subcontract management inclusive of administration of the contract, monthly payments and final account settlement.
Collating and issuing tender packs for sub-contractor work packagesNegotiation and analysis of Sub contractor tender returnsProducing tender analysis for subcontract work packagesCompletion of Subcontract orders and variationsSubcontract payments, variations, and final accountsCompleting Monthly CVRs and cost reportingCost reporting and budget controlPrepare and issue monthly valuations, cash flow forecasts, key date trackersRole Criteria : Qualification in Surveying or Construction or equivalent experienceExperience of working within the Construction industry for a social housing contractorExcellent IT, analytical and communication skillsStrong mathematical abilityAbility to assess and analyse informationGood business senseGood understanding of budget managementNegotiating and networking skillsEnthusiasm and FlexibilityAble to work within a busy team and under pressureA methodical approachFull UK Driving LicenceAll our roles require candidates to have the entitlement to work within the UK, Mears does not currently offer visa sponsorship.

To drive a Mears vehicle, you must be aged over 21, have held your license over 3 months and have less than 9 points.
