With our long-term contracts and commitment to employee development, we stand at the forefront of providing specialised training and assessment services, ensuring our team not only meets but exceeds industry standards.About the OpportunityWe are seeking an Underground Coal Mine Supervisor, for a position in the Bowen Basin, QLD, at the Ironbark and Carborough Downs coal mines.
These sites are less than a 2-hour commute southwest of Mackay, QLD.This position offers a 7 days on, 7 days off roster, promoting a balanced work-life integration and consistent support to our operations.
It also provides the flexibility to work FIFO/DIDO with salary packaging options, catering to our diverse workforce and enhancing accessibility to our locations.ResponsibilitiesDelivering services including VCD installation and maintenanceParticipating in secondary support and strata consolidationContributing to outbye services and general mine servicesEnsuring compliance with safety standards and practicesSupporting team efforts to maintain operational excellenceAbout YouTo be successful, you'll need relevant tickets such as G1, G8, G9 & G2 (Formerly S1 S2 S3 & G2) drifty, loader, airtrack, and QDS drill rig tickets, along with a valid "C" Class Queensland driver's licence.
A minimum of 2 years' experience in the Underground Coal Mining Industry is essential.
Additionally, having a coal board medical or the ability to obtain one, and a Standard 11 certification, are must-haves for this position.Highly valued skills and background include:Proficiency in secondary support and VCD installationStrong safety management and compliance skillsEffective communication and teamwork abilitiesComputer literacy for managing documentation and training materialsThe ideal candidate communicates clearly, prioritises safety and continuous improvement, and thrives in demanding environments.

The comprehensive benefits package includes:After completing a 3-month probationary period, employees are entitled to accrue 20 days of rest and recreation leave annually (Pro Rata)Opportunities for training development and career advancementCamp accommodation and meals providedA shuttle service is provided for transportation to and from the Camp/Site (It is your responsibility to get to camp).Casual loading and salary packaging optionsRetention Bonus - up to $4 per Hour Worked - Maximum of 12 hours per shift and excludes overtime hours.
