We're looking for Production Engineers who are not afraid of a challenge and are passionate about making a difference to be part of the Paulsens Underground Mine Start Up
Working in collaboration with the Senior Mine Engineer and Alternate UG Manager, you will be responsible for the short-term mine schedule, mine designs, production plans, and production reporting in support of the UG mine production activity.
About the Opportunity
Key accountabilities of the position are to:
Prepare accurate and achievable short-term drilling, blasting and ancillary weekly mine plans and schedules.
Ensure information regarding the plans and schedules are communicated effectively to relevant stakeholders.
Stimulate discussion and gather feedback in various formats, to ensure plans capture areas of concern or bottlenecks and mitigation steps to manage.
Enter production and development activities data into the mine production database and validate the data.
Undertake stope performance assessments for each stope and back analyse to ensure continuous improvement in drilling and blasting plans, designs and controls.
Reconcile the daily and weekly mine plan, ensuring alignment with the monthly mine plan.
Support Senior Engineer with ventilation statutory activities.
About You
We are seeking a positive and motivated 'can do' individual with adaptive thinking, who enjoys autonomy in their role with an ability to prioritise, analyse and problem solve who has the following:
Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or equivalent.
Experience in underground mining, preferably gold, in a production engineer position with exposure to various mining methods and mine engineering; short term scheduling, drill and blast and mine ventilation.
User of mine planning and scheduling software packages preferably Deswik (CAD and UGDB).
Ability to work collaboratively, and with a diverse range of people across all levels who understand we are all in this together.
Working in a collaborative manner, with an expectation to have fun along the way, the Mining Underground Team will together, optimize development, grade and productivity
