Events Manager Melbourne CBD - Flexible on Location
Permanent Role - Full Time Salary: Up to $110,000 + Super (Dependent on experience) Hybrid (In-office & WFH) Cox Purtell is currently working with a national membership association operating throughout Australia & New Zealand within the infrastructure industry.
The association encompasses over 50 public and private member organisations, and represents a multi-billion-dollar industry, with sustainability being a key focus.
They're now looking to hire a highly motivated, positive, pro-active and experienced individual to become their Events Manager - responsible for planning and delivering events and training across Australia and New Zealand end-to-end, including marketing these events to the membership network.
Reporting to the CEO, this is the perfect role for someone who wants to take full ownership and accountability for a full calendar of events including: workshops, masterclasses, training events, and conferences.
As this role has sole accountability for driving the strategy and executing the events calendar (with the support of an Events Coordinator) throughout Australia and New Zealand, there is frequent inter-state travel required.
Main areas of responsibility include: Responsibility for the planning and delivery of high quality and engaging events and networking opportunities, including:Local and International conferences, forums and eventsTraining eventsMasterclassesSeminarsOversee, plan & drive the entire event strategy for the yearAssist CEO in identifying events and training needs of members and develop/review/evaluate an annual training and events calendarDevelop sponsorship opportunities for events, where relevant and ensure sponsors are approached and secured for the events in line with budgets.Budget management and reporting on events through to the CEO and further to the Board if required.Develop an annual Events Marketing Strategic Plan to ensure the Association's events are marketed to the correct members and wider audience and that the plan aligns with the mission and vision of the AssociationWork with Content and Communication Manager to plan out necessary marketing and communications activities related to events and training and assist in the execution of this planComplete board reporting, negotiate supplier agreements and complete invoicing Your Profile: The successful candidate will be a highly experienced and demonstrated Events leader, with at least 5 years' experience in an end-to-end Events management position.
Significant experience in event planning, marketing, management and deliveryDemonstrated stakeholder management experience, particularly engaging with senior executivesExperience with events systems and data integration and managementAbility to work autonomously, flexibly and with limited directionA proactive can-do attitude, display initiative and growth mindsetAbility and willingness to travel inter-state once or twice per monthPrior experience working in a membership association (not essential but well-regarded)Superior written and verbal communications skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
