Base plus site and health allowances plus bonusesGold Fields is a globally diversified gold producer with nine operating mines in Australia, South Africa, Ghana, Peru, Canada and Chile.The mining maintenance team at Agnew have an opportunity for a Dewatering Technician to join their team.Role Details:Reporting to the Leading Hand: Electrical, you will be responsible for assisting the mining maintenance team to dewater the mine safely and efficiently.
This will be achieved by managing, installing, repairing, and monitoring dewatering infrastructure (Underground and Surface) including pumps (diesel and electric), and fixed site infrastructure, whilst following policies and procedures, along with statutory regulations.This role is offered on an 8 days on 6 days off roster and is Fly in Fly out from Perth or Drive in Drive out from the Goldfields region.Benefits include:6% Site AllowanceQuarterly Bonus SchemePrivate Health Insurance AllowanceIncreased annual leave entitlementsLong service leave pro-rata after 5 years of continuous serviceContinual training and the ability to expand your careerSalary Sacrifice optionsAbout the role:Carry out mechanical repairs, servicing, or modifications to equipment in such a way as to maximise machine mechanical availability and increase operating efficiency.Carry out preventative maintenance of underground dewatering system.Carry out fault-finding, diagnosis and repair of damaged pumps, and all dewatering infrastructure.Maintain ancillary equipment.Carry out the regular review of maintenance processes and investigate, assess and where appropriate, propose modern technology.Prioritise resource and coordinate all unplanned work that arises over the course of the week.About you:Proven experience in mechanical maintenance of Underground Dewatering equipmentValid W.A manual Driver's LicenceBasic Computer skills in Microsoft Office Programs and SAP would be an advantageKnowledge and application of relevant statutory obligationsHR Driver's Licence, Working at Heights, Rigging, Crane, Dogging, EWP, Forklift &/or poly welding tickets would be advantageous to your applicationApplications can be submitted via: https://careers.goldfields.com/AustraliaGold Fields is committed to achieving an inclusive workforce.
