We're looking for a dynamic individual with a strong public liability claims background to design and deliver a consistent, best in class technical and coaching framework for the Injury Liability Claims team ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations, lifting technical capability and technical decision making.
This role will enable our people to reach their full potential and provide technical leadership and development support to other technical staff within Commercial Claims.
Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Demonstrate tangible business value through the integration of learning, communication and capability delivery that aligns with the Commercial Claims business.
This will include the design of all relevant frameworks for long-term effectiveness and sustainability.
Work with key stakeholders to identify capability needs to support the delivery of current and future business plans including a strategic learning program that meets immediate needs of uplifting technical competency and decision making as well as longer term objective of high proficiency levels of complex claims management expertise.
Leverage business intelligence and subject matter expert knowledge to inform deployment of the most appropriate learning resources at the most appropriate time to minimise disruption to the operation.
Develop, coach and support Commercial Claims team members to enhance performance in conjunction with the National Manager to create a high performing and engaging team environment.
Provide governance and oversight over the execution of training, development and mentoring programs and other key learning initiatives progressing Commercial Claims team members through the Commercial Claims Technical Career Path.
Skills & Experience:
Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role.
Minimum 5 years' experience in claims management of public liability (injury) risk.
Experience in coaching and people development.
Insurance law firm associate/senior associate level lawyer - highly desirable.
Experience working within a Commercial Claims operational environment - highly regarded.
