MRead is developing new capabilities for humanitarian demining.
We are a growing startup that is advancing the world-leading CSIRO magnetic resonance sensing technology for the applied detection of explosives and drugs. Position Overview: We are looking for a talented and driven Electronics Engineering Specialist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in the design, development, and testing of electronic systems. You'll be working closely with cross-functional teams to create manufacturable systems to the highest standards of quality and reliability.
Key Responsibilities: Design and Development: Create, develop, and test electronic circuits, components, and systems for commercial and industrial use.PCB Layout and Design: Layout of printed circuit boards and optimisation for performance, cost, and manufacturability.Prototyping and Testing: Build prototypes and run tests to validate designs, ensuring performance meets specifications.Troubleshooting: Analyze and troubleshoot hardware-related issues in existing designs, providing effective solutions to enhance performance.Documentation: Prepare technical reports, datasheets, and design documentation to support production and future modifications.Collaborative Innovation: Work closely with R&D, software, and mechanical teams to integrate electronics into larger systems.Key Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.3+ years of experience in electronics design and development.Strong proficiency in analog and digital circuit design.Hands-on experience with PCB layout tools (e.g., Altium).Familiarity with microcontrollers, FPGAs, and embedded systems.Excellent knowledge of signal integrity, power electronics, and RF systems.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Australian Citizenship or Permanent ResidentExperience with EMC/EMI compliance and design for manufacturability.Knowledge of FPGA programming.Experience with simulation tools (e.g., SPICE, MATLAB) for circuit modelling and analysis.Familiarity with C++ and Python programming.What We Offer: Salary & Benefits: We offer a competitive remuneration package, and participation in the company ESOP plan.Work-Life Balance: We promote a healthy work-life balance with flexibility in work schedules.Innovative Projects: Join a dynamic team working on the latest technologies and contribute to groundbreaking projects.High Social Impact: Successful development of our technology will significantly improve the safety and efficiency of landmine clearance rates.How to Apply: Interested candidates are invited to submit their resume and a cover letter detailing their experience to ******.
