A leading Tier 2 civil contractor with a proven track record in delivering high-quality civils projects across Sydney and NSW is looking for an Estimator to join their team.
They specialize in civil engineering works, including Utilities, Roads, Bridges, Subdivisions, and Major Earthworks.
As they continue to grow, they are looking for a talented Civil Estimator or Senior Civil Estimator to join their dynamic team.
Essential experience is having worked in a similar role estimating on road and earthwork packages.
Role Overview:
They are seeking an experienced Civil Estimator or Senior Civil Estimator to be an integral part of the estimating process for a wide range of civil projects.
The successful candidate will work closely with the management team to provide accurate cost estimates and contribute to the success of their project tenders.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil infrastructure projects, including roads, earthworks, utilities, subdivisions, and other major works.
Review and interpret project specifications, designs, and contract documentation.
Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure accurate pricing and material costs.
Conduct risk assessments and value engineering to optimize project costs.
Manage the tendering process, including bid preparation, submission, and negotiations.
Maintain and update cost databases and estimating tools.
Participate in post-tender reviews and project handovers to the construction team.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and new technologies relevant to civil infrastructure.
Qualifications and Experience:

Proven experience as a Civil Estimator or Senior Civil Estimator, ideally with a Tier 2 civil contractor.
Strong understanding of civil engineering projects, including roads, bridges, subdivisions, and earthworks.
Excellent knowledge of estimating software (e.g., Expert Estimator, Candy, or similar).
Ability to interpret detailed technical drawings and project specifications.
Strong communication, negotiation, and analytic skills.
High attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Relevant qualifications in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
