Leading the strategic implementation, standardization, and continuous improvement of DP World's operational proprietary systems across its global portfolio of ports and terminals.
This role is critical in ensuring that these systems, which are central to the company's operations, are optimized for efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
The Global Senior Manager also plays a key role in mitigating operational risks that could lead to significant financial losses and disruptions.
By driving innovation, enhancing internal user experiences, and aligning systems with the company's long-term strategic goals, the role ensures that DP World remains at the forefront of operational excellence and delivers exceptional service to its customers worldwide.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:
DP WORLD SYSTEMS GLOBAL IMPLEMENTATION
Lead Global Standardization, spearheading the global implementation and standardization of DP World's operational systems across ports and terminals and inland facilities.
Critical Risk Mitigation, serving as a specialized authority on system go-live decisions, ensuring comprehensive testing and risk assessments.
AUTOMATION & DP WORLD SYSTEMS DEVELOPMENT
Design key elements of the DP World proprietary systems which include Cargoes TOS+, GC+ Community Systems, Rostering, IoT+, AVA+, roadmap for smart modules that give DP World a strategic advantage over its competitors in terms of performance, cost savings and market appeal for future commercialization efforts.
Regularly benchmark these systems against industry standards to ensure they remain best in class and provide DP World with a competitive edge.
Lead the roadmap development for the DP World key systems features required for automated equipment.
Responsible to support and coordinate the roll out direction of the Group Tech Systems for DP World Business Units.
Act as liaison and quality control for the requirements O&A stage.
Seamless Integration, oversee the integration of new technologies into existing systems, ensuring they are effectively adopted by all users and contribute to overall operational success.
REGIONAL CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE
Establish and Scale Regional centres of excellence, leading the development of a Regional Centre of Excellence focused on DP World's systems, ensuring it is equipped with the necessary expertise, resources, and infrastructure to drive operational excellence.
Ensure the centre is equipped with the necessary resources, expertise, and protocols to drive excellence in operations and support strategic objectives.
OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCY & COST REDUCTION
Lead the Terminal Operating Systems optimization process with a deep understanding and analysis of the operational requirements and constraints, with the objective of enhancing BU performance.
Implement continuous improvement processes that maximize system performance and minimize operational costs.
Financial Impact and Cost Management, developing and executing strategies that leverage these systems to reduce operational costs while enhancing service levels and customer satisfaction.
Design and Manage training programs with onsite support programs that can assist terminals to optimize the Terminal Operating System in the way planners and process controllers use it.
This is in close collaboration with the DP World Global training department (The HUB).
OTHER
Act as an ambassador for DP World at all times when working; promoting and demonstrating positive behaviours in harmony with DP World's values and culture; ensuring the highest level of safety is applied in all activities; understanding and following DP World's Code of Conduct and Ethics policies Applicable if role has direct or indirect reports - responsible for the management and leadership of an engaged team, promoting collaboration and ensuring that each is developed and evaluated against goals and objectives which are aligned, specific, measurable, attainable yet challenging, realistic and time bound.
KEY DELIVERABLES:
Global Standardization and Implementation: Lead the standardization of key operational processes across global sites, ensuring that each site operates efficiently and aligns with the company's strategic goals.

Risk Management in System Implementations: Successfully manage the risks associated with system implementations, ensuring that no site experiences disruptions that could lead to financial losses or community impact.

Enhancement of Internal Systems for User Experience : Continuously improve internal systems to enhance the user experience for employees, ensuring that they have efficient tools and processes to perform their roles effectively.

Optimization of Customer Service Levels: Lead initiatives that directly improve external customer service levels by minimizing operational delays and ensuring that all systems contribute to faster, more reliable service.

Continuous Monitoring and Improvement: Implement a process of continuous performance monitoring and improvement of operational systems, ensuring that all sites consistently meet performance standards and contribute to overall organizational efficiency
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Master's Degree in Logistics, Supply chain or Maritime Economics and logistics or similar preferred 8 to 10 years of hands on experience within container terminal operations in vessel/yard planning functions or worked in consultancy logistics related field with a keen interest in best business practices and process improvement.
Proven Knowledge of software and planning control systems In depth knowledge of container terminals organization, operations, more than one Terminal Operating systems, vessel, yard and resource planning, procedures, business processes.
Experience working with the DP World proprietary system portfolio including Cargoes TOS+ BE, GC, OPS, CCS, CRS, IoT, AVA+, Billing preferred.
Proven track record of managing Software development in a project management team.
Is fully appraised of the latest technical terminal technology available.
Ability to create a project plan, assign tasks, manage resources and timeline.
Excellent presentation skills can persuade people and explain complex matters with ease.
Ability to communicate in multicultural environment from blue collars to executive management.
Capable of writing well-structured reports and business models.
Capable of writing system requirements.
Experience in detailed process mapping Open and embracing of change and change management.
