We are seeking a skilled and strategic Procurement Specialist to support the closure of a project into its next phase.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape procurement strategies that are critical to the success of the closure project.
Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with the current ownership team to ensure a smooth transition into the next phase.
Involves travel to site semi regularly. Gain an in-depth understanding of existing contracts, identifying gaps and areas for improvement. Work closely with key stakeholders to define procurement and contracting requirements for the new project phase. Develop contracting strategies that align with project objectives, including performance indicators to ensure success. Create procurement strategies supporting Indigenous and Traditional owner suppliers. Lead the tendering process, ensuring compliance with procurement policies and project goals. Skills and Experience: 7-8 years of experience in procurement and contract management, ideally within mining or large-scale industrial projects. Expertise in contract lifecycle management and the ability to develop procurement strategies tailored to unique project needs. Knowledge and experience supporting indigenous business development and procurement practices, well regarded. Strong stakeholder management skills, with a collaborative approach across teams and functions. Relevant experience with project closure, decommissioning, rehabilitation and/or change management. Strategic thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to navigate complex, non-templated situations.
