Well experienced, ideally claims but alternatively relevant legal, underwriting, recoveries or customer relations backgrounds, who now want to develop their coaching and mentoring skills, to progress their careers in technical claims management toward a senior claims portfolio manager or technical specialist, focussing on complex claims environments of casualty and specialty lines.You will work closely with the broader technical community to establish frameworks and practices, optimising claims outcomes for customers and enabling the growth and development of claims officers from new starters to specialist claims portfolio managers.What you'll doOnboarding, structured and adhoc training and change deliveryAssist Team Leaders with capability assessment and development plans for their team membersBusiness process optimisationSupport Technical Specialists and technical mentoring program to uplift technical decision makingEvolve the quality review process to better identify and manage risksDesign of all relevant technical development frameworks for long term effectiveness and sustainabilityLeverage business intelligence claims customer data and subject matter expertise to inform operational improvements and enhance customer and broker experiences.What you'll bringDemonstrated commercial claims experience preferably in casualty and/or financial lines, either in direct claims management roles or related processes such as legal, underwriting, recoveries or customer relationsProven experience in achieving outcomes through mentoring and coaching othersStrong commercial acumen and analytical mindsetPassion for customers, fair and accurate decision making and a drive to help others succeed.What we can offerDiscounts and offers on a range of retail favourite stores as well as insurance productsGive back to our communities with payroll giving, donation matching and paid volunteer leaveInvest in your brighter future with ongoing study support and career development programsPrioritise your work/life balance with our robust employee assistance program and dedicated employee councilAt Suncorp we believe we are our best when our workforce is as diverse, talented and passionate as the communities in which we live and operate, and where our people feel included, valued and connected.
