About the opportunity As our Retail Customer Service Officer, you'll play an important part in helping Australians service their own businesses, keeping millions of people connected and building community resilience.
Every year around one million customers walk into one of our Australia Post Offices.
It's our retail teams who make sure that every experience they have is a great one.
And while they do, they're supported by a welcoming team, take part in ongoing training, and are guided on career development opportunities.
Adult Pay Rate $27.48 increases to $29.37 after 3 months' probation + 12% Superannuation (Junior rates apply for those under 21 during training) District allowance up to $5,800 with dependents / without dependents $3,160 + 3 extra days (paid) annual leave Rotating roster, working Monday - Friday, 20 hours per week, 4 hours per day between 8:45 am- 5:06 pm Extensive, supportive (paid) training on commencement, from Monday - Friday Access to all Australia Post jobs to advance your career You'll be: Performing customer sales and service transactions with customers Managing high value transactions accurately (handling and processing cash, cheques, credit cards and EFTPOS) Conducting and processing a number of identity services transactions, including Australian Passport Interviews Promoting our products and services through up-selling and cross-selling, merchandising and other promotional activities Assisting customers with mail lodgements and associate costs Building rewarding relationships with customers by understanding their needs Assisting with administrative duties such as stocktaking and record maintenance About you You're friendly, enthusiastic and reliable and you love working in a team environment.
You're ready to put the customer at the centre of everything you do to help make a difference in the community.
