Your Role: Food preparation for morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and late afternoon snackSafe food handling for allergic/anaphylactic childrenMeal plating and service and taking to classroomsKitchen cleaning and dishwashingCleaning of office, staffroom, foyer and other areas if neededCutting of varied meatsFood safety and hygiene proceduresPositively promote and market the centre to families and the communityBe an advocate of the Montessori Method to parents and potential clientsRespect and support colleagues by developing positive and ethical channels of communication that are based on principles of mutual respect, equity and fairnessAttend meetings as requestedBecome familiar with Montessori Academy Policies and ProceduresAbout you: Must have a current Working with Children Check (paid)Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willing to obtain one)Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively in a team environmentStrong understanding of the importance of family communicationsStrong understanding of the National Quality Framework and National Quality StandardUnderstanding of the Montessori PhilosophyCommitment to the holistic development of their classWhat we offer: Staff discounts (50% discount on childcare fees, private health insurance, gym memberships and other goods and services from local businesses)17.5% annual leave loadingExcellent career advancement opportunitiesSupportive Management Team with a flat organisational structureThink you have what it takes to join the Montessori Academy Team?
