Cultural Perspectives is looking for an experienced, highly motivated and dedicated Engagement Officer to join our Sydney-based team in a full-time position.

For 30 years, we have maintained a respected reputation throughout diverse communities and a high ethical standard for community engagement.About the roleThe Engagement Officer position will support the engagement team in delivering high-level engagement strategies for our clients.
The Engagement Officer will report to the Director of Engagement.
The position entails:Work with a highly collaborative, client-focused team committed to best practice when working with people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.Build and maintain strong relationships with community representatives and stakeholders to support the successful delivery of engagement projects and activities.Successfully project-manage the development and implementation of community and stakeholder engagement activities specific to projects/campaigns so that they are delivered on time and on budget.Develop, implement and report on best practice engagement strategies to engage a range of different communities and key stakeholders on key policy areas.Work closely with our Communications team to deliver multifaceted communications campaigns into culturally and linguistically diverse communities.Provide support and input in responding to Federal/State/local government tenders and consultancy requests.Conduct analysis of consultation outputs and prepare detailed written reports and verbal presentations.Selection criteriaTo be successful for the role, you will need to demonstrate the following:Minimum 2 years' experience working in the area of diversity and inclusion (includes engaging with CALD sector, multicultural affairs, diversity practice, social justice).Demonstration of passion for working with CALD communities.Strong understanding of multicultural community structures and organisations, and the roles and functions will be highly regarded.Exceptional interpersonal skills and an ability to work with a broad range of people from a variety of backgrounds and experiences.Very strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage several projects and tasks concurrently with tight deadlines.Understanding of community demographic data and ability to compile community profiles.Excellent verbal, written, presentation and cross-cultural communication skills.Strong competency in all Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint.Availability to travel within Australia occasionally, as required.Team oriented.Demonstrated ability to build strong client and stakeholder relationships.How to ApplyTo apply for the Engagement Officer position, please email your CV, a cover letter and a document outlining your responses to the selection criteria to Jess Willis at ****** download the position description from our website: you have any questions or queries on the position, please contact Rea Singh at ****** that do not address the selection criteria will not be assessed.At Cultural Perspectives, we provide our employees with excellent working conditions, a modern, respectful, collaborative culture, ongoing support, and flexible work arrangements.#J-18808-Ljbffr
