We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Coordinator to join our team at YMCA Carbrook Outside School Hours Care (OSHC).
This is a permanent, part-time position.
Your working hours per week will be 34.5 hours during school term and up to 38 hours during vacation care time.
About the role In this position, you will assist the Service Coordinator with the day-to-day running of the service and management of a team of Educators.
You will receive support from a dedicated management team, consisting of the Coordinator, Senior Coordinator, Area Coordinator, Regional Manager, and the OSHC Manager.
As the Assistant Coordinator you will assist with: The development of quality programsManaging the day-to-day running of the programsSupporting the Coordinator with staff managementEnsuring compliance with policyUndertaking administrative requirementsWorking collaboratively with families and the school communityAs the Assistant Coordinator you will have: Completed (or actively studying) relevant qualifications in Childcare or Teaching (Minimum of Diploma in Children Services)Demonstrated experience in assisting with programming and a passion for providing quality childcareDemonstrated experience in maintaining effective administration and correct documentation in an OSHC serviceExcellent verbal and written communication skillsFirst Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtainCertificate of Suitability to work with Children and Young People (Blue Card) or willingness to obtainNQF knowledge would be advantageousBenefits and rewards Competitive rate + 17.5% leave loadingAdministration hours off the floor to support your professional growth and developmentSplit shift allowance payments and paid team meetingsSupport from a committed, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic management teamFree YMCA gym membershipDiscounted rates at our childcare facilitiesDiscounted rates on health care through Medibank PrivateStaff Discounts for leisure and lifestyle products and servicesYour workspace at the Y YMCA Carbrook Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) is located inside Carbrook State School and is licensed for 75 children.
We offer Before and after school care from 6 am to 9 am and 2:30 pm to 6 pm, Monday to Friday.
We also offer Vacation Care, operating from 6 am to 6 pm.
At Carbrook YMCA, it brings us much joy to be greeted by the children and families each morning and see them so happy to be at our OSC service.
We see each child as a unique individual with individual needs as well as cultural diversity.
