POSITION PURPOSE
This role is responsible for ensuring the stability, integrity and performance of our clients hybrid cloud and OnPrem systems infrastructure, during both "build" and "run" phase activities, to meet business requirements and be in alignment with security policies and best practices.
Primary focus is on cloud services, hybrid integrations, on premise infrastructure and networking.

As a cloud infrastructure engineer, the role will provide support to other Technology team members and vendor resources for designing and enhancing cloud capabilities, provide BAU support for the residual On Prem Infrastructure, training and cross-skilling.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Ensuring the stability, integrity, and performance of cloud systems and services, hybrid integrations (including AADC), on-premise infrastructure (such as VxRail, VMware, and virtual machines), and on-premise networking (including internet links, core networking, LAN, and Wi-Fi).
Administer Windows & Linux infrastructure with a Microsoft stack focus, covering Entra ID, Citrix, SCCM, Windows server, SQL, VMware, and PowerShell scripting.
Administration of network infrastructure (hardware) including Cisco and HP switching in conjunction with vendors.
Responsible for the quality, security & vulnerability management of servers and appliances and the SOE for end user workstations and mobile device builds.
Independently collaborate with vendors to monitor data replication and integrity, maintain enterprise monitoring, support Citrix remote desktop and hybrid Exchange services, manage physical and virtual infrastructure (VMWare), implement and maintain Windows Active Directory Services, perform backup and restore operations, liaise with data centers and cloud providers, deliver task automation, and develop, review, and approve solution and configuration documentation.
Systems Analysis
Proactively troubleshoot and problem solve technical issues across cloud, on premise infrastructure, operating systems, hybrid integrations, and networking.
Lead technical root cause analysis with key vendors.
Assist with analysis of existing systems (on premise) and assist with migration planning and transition to cloud services.
General
A commitment to ongoing professional development in related training fields with ITSM, Cloud Services and on premise technology services.
Participation in projects to ensure delivery of agreed requirements 'on time' and 'on budget'.
Actively participate in team objectives, meetings, sharing technical knowledge and experience.
Manage own time effectively.
Produce management reports, business proposals, change controls and other associated documentation at regular intervals or as required.
Maintain strong working relationship with key business users, line managers and Executives.
Assist the Technology team in the ongoing management of vendors to ensure effective delivery of services to the organisation.
Ensure Cloud Infra design is Fit for Purpose and cost effective.
Monitor Cloud resource utilisation and suggest opportunities to optimize costs while providing optimal user experience.
Lead implementation of infrastructure monitoring and policy implementation out of Azure Monitor and Azure Policy.
Evangelise and lead rollout of ARM templates for infrastructure setup.
Key Selection Criteria
Required Certifications:Azure Cloud Certifications Microsoft Certifications Desired Certifications:ITIL Citrix VMWare Strong experience with migration and management of Cloud Services and providers such as MS Azure .
Experience in operating in a hybrid environment (on premise / cloud).
Strong experience with Office365, Azure and AWS based services.
Strong experience in Microsoft Windows administration and development and use of scripting (PowerShell, VBScript) and installation procedures, particularly in relation to automation.
Strong experience in:AD and Group Policy management VMware vSAN Windows Server Operating Systems SCCM / Intune ITIL and ITSM This role requires someone residing in Melbourne.
We are open to full timers and daily rate contractors for this role.
