The Role:
Martinus is seeking an experienced GIS Specialist to work on our Albury to Parkes (A2P) Railway project with Inland Rail.
This role is based in our North Sydney Office.

Key Responsibilities:
Programmatically manipulate geospatial datasets, including satellite imagery, LiDAR data, and vector datasets.
Manage spatial data, including importing, maintaining, and validating large geospatial datasets provided by clients.
Develop and manage spatial data with input from internal teams, including design, construction, and environmental/sustainability departments.
Prepare data to meet client technical specifications for digital deliverables, ensuring compliance with planning, environmental, and construction requirements.
Produce drawings, sketches, and data to support construction planning.
Coordinate with survey teams to convert data into appropriate GIS formats.
Attend meetings and workshops with external stakeholders to align on deliverable expectations.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of GIS experience.
Diploma or degree in spatial sciences, geospatial disciplines, construction, design, or engineering.
Proficiency with Esri and QGIS software systems.
Experience interfacing with and converting file formats from various design software packages (e.g., AutoCAD, 12D).
Skills in Python, FME, or SQL are advantageous.
Excellent facilitation and communication abilities.
Experience in data management, including operations, quality, and security.

Effective communicator with various internal and external stakeholders.
Adaptable to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Able to provide advice and support on geospatial tasks and challenges.
