About the opportunity The Beta Hunt Mine is owner-operated using conventional underground mining methods. The mine is ramping production rates to 2Mtpa by the end of H1 FY25 with increased mined material transported through a newly constructed second decline.
Westgold is on the lookout for an experienced Senior Planning Engineer to provide technical support to the mining operations team on a permanent 8/6 roster. The successful candidate will be responsible for making sure production targets are met and safe and accurate plans are delivered in a timely manner.
The role includes Completion of development designs in accordance with 13WK plansCompletion of stope designs for production engineering useMini-DAF and DAF designsCompletion of Level Extraction NotesCompletion of Stope NotesCompletion of Stope ReconciliationsCompletion of Strategic Planning NotesPreparation of 13WK schedules where requiredManagement of onsite databases (Plodtrack and Livemine)Assist in training with Planning and Junior EngineersCompletion of Vent models for short and medium term planningManage adhoc projects as directed by the Underground ManagerDeputise as Underground Manager where requiredReview Geotechnical reports and ensure stope shapes adhere to site GCMPHighlight key activities and critical path processes of budgets, forecasts and weekly plansCompletion of LOM designsAssist in preparation and completion of mine reservesCompletion of underground budgetsPrepare and assist Underground Managers with end of month claimsWhat do I need?
