Child Welfare, Youth & Family Services (Community Services & Development) ABRS is thrilled to offer a unique Senior Leadership role in Sydney with a respected Aboriginal-led organization dedicated to providing culturally safe support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families.
We are looking for a passionate Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Manager to lead their Permanency Support Program, which provides Out of Home Care and Family Preservation services.

Benefits: $160,385 (including leave loading and superannuation) + salary packaging optionsPositions available in South West Sydney35-hour work weekMonthly RDOsCultural training and professional development opportunitiesSupport to obtain further qualificationsThis role will involve: Lead the PSP case management division with a focus on excellence and complianceDevelop and execute strategic plans, regularly reporting on progressSet and monitor performance goals for staff, providing guidance and supportEnsure staff training and foster professional growthCreate and implement effective policies and manage budgetsBuild and maintain strong relationships with funding bodies and community organizationsAdvocate for the organization, enhance its public profile, and identify new funding opportunitiesThey are looking for candidates with experience leading casework teams. This position is Aboriginal identified.
To perform this role, it is essential that the person who holds the role be an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person.
It is a genuine occupational requirement under section 25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 that applicants are Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islanders. The requirements for this role include: Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander identity (as per Section 14(d) of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW))Qualifications in Community Services or a related fieldProven leadership experience in Out of Home CareUnderstanding of Stolen Generations and transgenerational traumaExcellent communication skillsCurrent NSW Working with Children's Check and Driver's LicenseWhy partner with ABRS to secure your next role?
