The college has experienced rapid enrolment growth, with over 2150 students in 2024, representing a 10% increase from 2023.The college community includes a significant number of students from refugee backgrounds and various language backgrounds.
CESC has 173 full-time staff, including a Principal, Assistant Principals, Learning Specialists, Leading Teachers, and Education Support staff.CESC promotes a strong sense of community through various focus areas, including student voice, attendance, and wellbeing.

'Selection CriteriaSC1: Demonstrated expert knowledge of the relevant curriculum and ability to lead literacy and numeracy skills across the curriculum.SC2: Ability to lead planning and implementation of high-impact teaching strategies that respond to student learning needs.SC3: Ability to monitor and assess student learning and lead improvement initiatives.SC4: Exemplary interpersonal and leadership skills to build collaborative relationships focused on student learning and wellbeing.SC5: Ability to model behaviors consistent with Department values and support professional learning.RoleLeading teachers aim to improve the skills, knowledge, and performance of the teaching workforce and curriculum program.Responsibilities include:Demonstrating outstanding teaching.Implementing school strategic priorities.Promoting student safety and wellbeing.Coordinating staff to improve teaching and learning.Leading changes in teaching methods.Contributing to policy development.Providing professional support to teaching staff.ResponsibilitiesLeading Teachers are responsible for a specific portfolio area and will:Be an active member of the Leadership Team.Develop an action plan consistent with the College Annual Implementation Plan.Contribute to the Professional Learning Agenda.Monitor progress towards goals in the AIP and Strategic Plan.Support professional growth as a leader.Lead a Collegiate Team in performance and development plans.Assist team members in professional learning and data analysis.Monitor student behavior and achievement.Engage in personal professional development.Lead staff professional learning programs.Who May ApplyTeachers currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching and qualified to teach in the specified curriculum areas.Child Safe StandardsVictorian government schools are committed to promoting the safety and wellbeing of all students.
