We prioritise Explicit Direct Instruction, Specific Targeted Feedback, and Thinking Through Writing as pedagogical approaches that develop deep learning.Our pedagogical approach has been informed by Cognitive Load Theory and has been influenced by the thinking of Hollingsworth and Ybarra in 'Explicit Direct Instruction,' Lemov in 'Teach Like a Champion,' and Hochman and Wexler in 'The Writing Revolution.Our staff are supported by an in-house pedagogical coaching team, and with an open professional learning culture where staff learn with and from each other by dropping-in to each other's classes, and by offering and receiving feedback.The College invests in creating a technology-infused educational ecosystem to support effective learning of students and teachers.We are praying for the right people to come and join our team and encourage you to learn more about our College to see if you might be a good fit for our vision and culture.About the RoleWe are seeking a Learning Enrichment Teacher to commence as soon as possible to provide the following support within the Learning Enrichment Team with a focus on Distance Education:Develop, implement, and review Individualised Learning Plans for students with diverse learning needs, ensuring personalised support to promote academic success.Conduct regular assessments, including diagnostic and standardised testing, to monitor student progress.
Use data to inform instructional strategies and support differentiation in a virtual environment.Work closely with classroom teachers and support staff to implement tailored educational strategies that meet individual student needs.Provide guidance on effective differentiation techniques and inclusive practices.Maintain regular communication with parents, guardians, and external specialists (e.g.
speech therapists, psychologists) to ensure a collaborative approach to student support and wellbeing.Provide direct learning support to students across all grade levels (K-12), addressing academic, social, and emotional challenges through targeted interventions and strategies.Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in special education, distance learning, and learning enrichment strategies.Assist students in developing positive behaviours, self-regulation, and emotional resilience, adapting strategies to suit the online learning environment.Assist in the management of the Nationally Consistent Collection Data on School Students with Disability (NCCD).About YouHave an active Christian faith.Have suitable qualifications and/or experience in administration.Excellent organisational and communication skills.Be able to receive feedback and be a team player with a can-do attitude.Hold a current Employee Working With Children Check.Work with a dedicated Christian team.Be part of a faith community that shares regular devotions and prayer.Grow in your faith, skills and experience.How to ApplyOnly applicants who apply via the link below will be considered.#J-18808-Ljbffr
