Offering a range of logistics services from warehousing, contract logistics, linehaul, intermodal transport, global freight forwarding and bulk logistics, we do logistics differently.Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you will oversee all aspects of dispatch operations ensuring people and equipment are employed efficiently and distribution activities are performed safely, cost-effectively and in accordance with customer expectations. This is a permanent position that requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent interpersonal and customer service skills to lead a team and achieve timely order fulfillment.What you'll do:Manage the day-to-day supervision of the team, overseeing work and motivating them to ensure efficiency and accuracy are maintained and all key performance indicators are metEnsure adequate labour coverage is in line with budgets, delivery schedules and SLAsDevelop process improvement plans in line with the State strategyAudit processes/ document control and report on findings, along with recommendations to the Warehouse Manager to close defects foundLiaise with production teams / Customer Service / Yatala Warehouse operations to execute or plan against daily movements/urgent requestsMaintain records of work performed to facilitate accurate invoicing of clients and payment of employeesEnsure all instances of service failure or loss of or damage to goods are investigated and develop and instigate remedial action to prevent a recurrenceResponsible for managing operating expenses and wages within budget constraintsWhat you will bring:Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar Dispatch or Warehouse environment within a Team Leader or Supervisor rolePrior experience in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or Logistics IndustryAbility to balance commercial, operational, and functional requirementsGood understanding of data extraction and evaluationCustomer Service focused, analytical skills and process-orientedWhat you'll love when you join us:Sustainability: Contribute to sustainability initiatives that make a difference.Supportive Environment: Be part of a team that values safety, respect, and collaboration.Work life Balance: Enjoy great hours to help you balance your professional and personal lifeCareer Growth: Opportunities for further training and career advancement within the companyYou will be required to meet Visy's employment criteria which will include a criminal history check and pre-employment medical (including drug & alcohol testing).Visy is an equal opportunity employer committed to providing a working environment that embraces and values diversity and inclusion.Please note that only applications with the right to live and work in Australia will be considered for this position.Advertised: 13 Nov 2024 E.
