The role is based in Sydney with the Market Platforms Technology Client Experience team supporting Nasdaq Matching Engine.Our customers are central market infrastructure operators worldwide. The Business Analyst's role manages requirements across the system development lifecycle to ensure that the characteristic of the functionality is mutually understood by customers and our internal product engineering organisation. Oftentimes, the analyst serves as a daily point of contact for clients, so to provide good guidance is vital for achieving client success.You can expect an autonomous but fast-paced work environment where you are recognized for your results and ability to drive things forward. Every day brings many opportunities to learn and grow and rewards with a global impact we create.In return, you will receive a competitive salary package, incredible private health insurance, employee stock purchase plan, a global mentoring program, counseling through our Employee Assistance Program, gym sponsorship and more.What You Will DoPartner with our customers to identify and understand their business needs and advise how existing product features can solve them or be extended to do soArticulate the "What" and the "Why" into written requirements and acceptance criteria that can be agreed with the customer and understood by all in the engineering teamBe a core part of the engineering team, ensuring that deliverables meet the functional and non-functional requirementsWork closely with other teams to ensure the successful delivery of projectsApply best practices and lead by example, to strengthen the quality of what we deliver to our customersKey contributor to the development of internal product documentation, training, new tools, and techniquesWhat We ExpectA degree in Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems or other relevant field, or equivalent work experienceAt least 10 years of experience in a Business Analyst roleExperience in Financial Services e.g. fintech provider, exchange, bank, broker, or financial institutionSound knowledge of capital markets and trading systemsAble to identify and distil key business requirements from a variety of sourcesCan articulate concepts clearly, precisely and concisely in both written and verbal formComfortable working at pace and balancing competing demandsBuild strong relationships with customers and colleagues that develop trust and inspire confidenceA highly collaborative working styleExperience working on a product and/or on the vendor sideFlexibility to take meetings outside work hours and some travel for business (about 2-3 times a year)What Would Be HelpfulExperience of Agile delivery methodology and toolsDoes It Sound Like You?Please follow through by clicking the "Apply" link and submitting your application.
