With expertise in delivering integrated design and construction services across medium-density townhouse and independent living unit projects, they pride themselves on achieving exceptional outcomes for repeat clients through innovative design solutions and cutting-edge building methodologies.
Now seeking a Design Manager to join a forward-thinking team, reporting to the Pre-Construction Manager, you will lead projects through the design phases, ensuring innovation, compliance, and efficiency from concept to completion.
Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with clients to develop clear objectives, expectations, and outcomes.Define design requirements, including briefs, timelines, and deliverables.Engage and manage design consultants, assessing deliverables, costs, and timeframes.Coordinate teams to ensure timely submission of development applications and construction certificates.Identify and mitigate risks while driving innovative, best-practice design solutions.Ensure compliance with NCC/BCA standards, DBPA, and agreed design requirements.Provide leadership to the design team, fostering collaboration and high-trust relationships.Support project delivery teams to achieve final occupation certification and successful handovers.Drive team alignment with company long-term strategic goals and market trends.About You:Tertiary qualification in Design, Project Management, or Construction Management.Proven track record in managing design projects across the full project lifecycle, with exposure to medium density or residential/commercial projects exceeding $10mil.Strong understanding of design principles, building codes, construction processes, and regulatory compliance.Inspirational leader who empowers teams, resolves conflicts, and fosters professional growth in a collaborative environment.Skilled in evaluating trade-offs between innovation, cost, and feasibility while delivering high-quality outcomes within budget and timelines.Empathetic and diplomatic, able to build trust and positivity even in high-pressure situations.Adept at managing workflows, resources, and quality standards to drive productivity and efficiency.What's on offer:Long-term career opportunities with a clear pathway for advancement.A supportive and innovative working environment.Opportunities for professional development, mentoring, and growth.If you're ready to bring your expertise to a role where your innovative thinking and leadership skills will make a real impact, we want to hear from you
