Nurse Unit Manager (TOI Pre-op, Anesthetics and Recovery) Salary Package : $130,827 (Nurse Unit Manager, Level 1) plus Superannuation

The Role Macquarie University Hospital has an exciting position for a Nurse Unit Manager to lead operating services for the MQ Health Orthopaedic Institute's Pre-op, Anaesthetics and Recovery Team.
Reporting to the Service Manager, your contribution will be essential towards the Hospital achieving optimal patient outcomes and delivering high quality nursing care through your effective skills in management and mentorship.
In this role, you will be responsible for the oversight of day-to-day activities of the Pre-op, Anaesthetics and Recovery Unit, ensuring smooth unit operations whilst managing staff.
The role ensures a quality, evidence-based practice and a cost-effective service are delivered within a safe patient and team environment.

Previous team lead experience in Perioperative Services, including management experience of 2 years or more in the relevant department.Effective leadership skills with the ability to take initiative in resolving issues and problems.Strong stakeholder management skills, ensuring that multiple people with different agendas are working efficiently to the same end.Effective interpersonal communication skills within a multidisciplinary team.Motivational, problem-solving and leadership skills.Strong commitment to quality improvement initiatives.Adept at fostering positive working relationships within the team.Role Specific Conditions : Working with Children Check for NSW (Please provide your WWCC documentation when submitting your application).Immunisation and vaccinations record.Current and Active AHPRA Registration.Medical indemnity with a recognised provider.Please note this position is only open to Australian citizens, permanent residents and those currently residing in Australia with full working rights.We reserve the right to progress or decline an application prior to the application closing date.Enquiries, please contact Bill Egarchos, Talent Acquisition Officer.
