About the Company
I'm representing an experienced developer of wind/PV/BESS projects in their search for an Electrical BoP Engineer.
About the Role
I'm seeking an Electrical Balance of Plant Engineer to provide concept design for the BoP of Wind/PV/BESS projects.
You will have good knowledge around electrical reticulation and will be particularly strong on the primary aspects of substation design.
The detailed design will be executed by external contractors/consultancies but you will be responsible for reviewing these and identifying any potential design risks.
The client is open to someone at 'Engineer' or 'Senior Engineer' level - and there is flexibility to be based in Sydney or Brisbane.
Responsibilities
Carry out concept design for BoP components
Support the development of technical specifications for electrical BoP equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards
Manage and review external contractors/consultancies who are conducting detailed design
Identify and mitigate design risks
Ensure optimal network distribution and integration with renewable energy generation assets
Skills & Experience
Electrical engineer qualification
Experience in electrical reticulation networks for large-scale renewable energy projects
Proven expertise as a BoP/Primary Design Engineer
Knowledge around electrical reticulation, substations, transformers, switchgear, and cabling networks
Ability to manage and review external consultants
