Project Safety Officer

Health, Safety & Environment (Construction) Full time Competitive Salary Negotiable + Benefits To be successful in this position you'll be highly motivated, adaptable and will thrive in building relationships with others.
You will of course have safety at the forefront and experience in implementing and managing safety and environmental processes on construction sites.
Commercial construction experience with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 commercial builder is preferred.
Based on site, you will work with a project team as a key part of the site team.
You'll be supported to grow and develop your career from your very first day with BADGE.
You'll need a sense of humour, a desire to follow our systems and procedures, and you should definitely bring a 'can do' attitude.
You must also be computer literate and have a good understanding of construction processes.
A certificate or diploma in Work Health Safety would be advantageous.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Management of safety and environmental processesProviding your project team with coaching and support in the implementation of the company's safety and environmental management systemsA sound knowledge and understanding of the implementation of relevant QHSE legislations and requirementsUndertaking all safety inductions for workers on site including but not limited to reviewing SWMS and JSAsHosting and minuting Safety and Toolbox meetings with SubcontractorsMonitor and review our software to ensure all incidents are recorded, investigated thoroughly and closed outMonitoring subcontractor complianceYou must be proactive and ready to jump in where necessary to ensure a tidy and safe site, which includes installing bunting, flagging, organising waste removal, sweeping/cleaning the site, etc.
