The business is a leading supplier of innovative consumer and automotive products to a range of clients that include well-known brands.
They are supportive of their people and maintain a strong focus on the quality and reliability of their products and services.
ABOUT THE ROLEReporting to the Demand Planning Manager, you will take full responsibility for the demand, production, and inventory activities for the range of brands allocated.
Your role will be to take full ownership of the planning cycle including continuous improvement, day to day production scheduling and inventory management.
Other duties include:
Monthly demand review, looking at forward 12-month projections across all brands/SKUsDevelop and conduct regular demand review sessions across all Sales Managers and BDM'sAttend regular internal meetings with key stakeholdersResponsibility for maintaining an accurate forecast across all brandsWeekly Order approvals across key stakeholdersMaximising stock turns across our key lines and minimizing potential lost salesMonthly Sales and Demand ReviewSKILLS & EXPERIENCETo be considered for this position, you will have a solid background within demand or inventory planning, including forecasting (ideally looking after a portfolio of $30-40mil) and shipping functions, having worked in an operational purchasing, supply chain or inventory coordinating role previously.
Other key prerequisites are as follows:
Sound experience in a product-based business (retail or wholesale consumer products), ideally working with EOL / superseded productsExpert level knowledge of a formal demand planning system (e.g.
Netstock, SAP-APO etc.
)Have previously worked in a team environment with well-developed demand planning processesExperience in inventory management and dealing with overseas suppliersAbility to work collaboratively with othersDetailed and action orientated, a forward planner who solves problems before they are problemsExperience in the tech sector will be well regardedCULTUREThe company supports individuals and encourages personal development and growth for all their employees.
