A great opportunity for an experienced senior accountant to join a highly skilled and collaborative team.Your new companyI am looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join a well-known and successful locally owned NT-based organisation as their Company Accountant.Your new roleIn this role you will assist the finance team in financial service delivery by taking responsibility for a number of advanced tasks centred around accounting and tax compliance and improving the accounting function.Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:Preparation of annual financial accounts across all areas of the organisation.Preparation of half yearly short form accounts for debt covenant compliance purposes.Calculation of annual tax position for all areas of the organisation.Lodgement of key tax compliance documents for all entities including income tax returns, technical reviews of monthly BAS statements, payroll tax annual and monthly lodgings & annual FBT returns.Preparation of annual tax forecasts, quarterly income installment reports and accounting income reports.Assist the CFO on specific items such as lease financing requirements and other ad-hoc projects as required.Contribute to the development, preparation, implementation and monitoring of project budget.What you'll need to succeedMinimum of 5 years' experience in a similar accounting position.Extensive knowledge of taxation and employment law.Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles including accrual accounting.Intermediate to advanced MYOB and Excel skills.Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills, including the ability to identify issues and suggest solutions.Ability to manage priorities in a busy, high-pressure environment and deliver to deadlines.What you'll get in returnA great opportunity for an experienced senior accountant to join a highly skilled and collaborative team.What you need to do nowIf you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now for a copy of the full job description.
