Within this broader team, the Onboarding team plays a crucial role by ensuring new users have a seamless, intuitive, and efficient experience when joining Kraken, setting the stage for long-term engagement and trust.The Onboarding team operates at the intersection of engineering, product, and design, collaborating closely with product managers and designers to craft experiences that align with Kraken's growth objectives. Your team's impact will extend beyond engineering, supporting Kraken's mission by lowering barriers to entry, increasing conversion rates, and enabling a frictionless path for users across the globe. This role offers a unique opportunity to significantly impact how Kraken introduces crypto to the world - one new user at a time.The opportunityDesign, develop, and maintain high-quality web & mobile applications using React NativeCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Design, and Backend Engineering, to deliver high-impact features and improvementsSignificantly influence technical decisions, contribute to technical strategy discussions, and shape product/domain decisions with an expert understanding of engineering best practicesMentor junior and senior engineers and provide constructive feedbackMaster multiple technologies and stay ahead of the curve with new tools and trendsDesign and implement scalable, maintainable, and fault-tolerant systems, with a deep understanding of complex software development architecture and design patternsLead and collaborate on complex initiatives, and drive feedback and growth across teamsDrive process improvements and lead by example with advanced experience in multiple software development processesSkills you should HODL6+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on web and mobile applicationsDeep understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript and proficiency with React Native frameworksStrong experience of API design, security, and performance optimizationExperience with Next.js and WebSocketsExperience with frontend testing frameworksFamiliarity with modern front-end build pipelines and toolingStrong understanding of UI/UX best practices and principlesExcellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a teamStrong written and verbal communication skills in EnglishNice to havesFamiliarity with native mobile app development (iOS/Android)Knowledge of the cryptocurrency industry and blockchain technologyThis job is accepting ongoing applications and there is no application deadline.As an equal opportunity employer, we don't tolerate discrimination or harassment of any kind.
