About the RoleThe Procurement Specialist plays a vital role within the Finance and Corporate Services department, reporting to the Procurement Lead.
This position is responsible for leading and managing end-to-end sourcing activities, providing expert guidance, and supporting Triple Zero Victoria's (TZV) procurement operations.
As a key player in optimizing procurement processes, the Procurement Specialist ensures the seamless availability of goods and services essential to TZV's objectives.
The role involves overseeing sourcing events, identifying cost-saving opportunities, creating competitive environments, negotiating with suppliers, and managing contracts to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in the procurement function.
This position requires advanced commercial acumen, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to manage high-value or high-risk sourcing activities.
The Procurement Specialist is responsible for delivering value for money outcomes across all TZV business units while adhering to procurement policies, procedures, and Victorian Government Procurement Board principles.
Under the direction of the Senior Manager, Procurement, the role includes undertaking complex and non-complex procurement planning, tendering, and contract management, with a focus on process improvements to enhance strategic sourcing, procurement, and contract management across the organisation.
Day to day responsibilities include:
Lead and manage end-to-end sourcing activities, providing expert guidance and support to optimize TZV's procurement processes.Oversee sourcing events, identify cost-saving opportunities, create competitive environments, and negotiate with suppliers to ensure value for money.Manage contracts and procurement activities, ensuring the seamless availability of goods and services required to support TZV's objectives.Demonstrate advanced commercial acumen and strong negotiation skills to handle high-value or high-risk sourcing activities.Support all TZV business units by ensuring compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and Victorian Government Procurement Board principles, while driving process improvements in strategic sourcing and contract management.About YouThe successful applicant for this role will demonstrate the following skills and experience:
