Catherine House is an unregistered NDIS service provider with an area of specialty in psychosocial disability, delivering a range of supports to clients living in our accommodation programs or in the community.We provide a culture that supports individuals to be their best, with opportunities for personal and career development.
We are committed to cultivating an equal, diverse, and inclusive environment for our staff, residents, and stakeholders.Job DescriptionThe OpportunityThe role of Coordinator: NDIS Supports facilitates the coordination of the expanding NDIS services and supports provided by Catherine House (CH) to clients residing in our accommodation programs, as well as to those living independently in the community or in another service setting.
The Coordinator: NDIS Supports is responsible for ensuring that CH provides the highest level of support to NDIS clients, while working to meet all quality and safeguarding requirements.
The Coordinator: NDIS Supports is primarily responsible for coordinating the type and delivery of the daily living supports CH provides to NDIS clients, both onsite in its accommodation programs and in community settings or homes.What you'll doThe development, delivery, and review of a quality program of activities and supports for CH NDIS clients that are consistent with their NDIS goalsContributing to the review of the service model as it responds to the NDIS Law changesKeeping across the latest changes and developments in the NDIS Law and assessing how they relate to our service modelCollaborating with team members to deliver a high-quality service, which is consistent with program goals and provides a safe and positive environment for clientsCompletion of a diverse range of program administration functions to ensure staff and clients are aware of their responsibilities in providing support to CH NDIS clientsConsulting with relevant stakeholders involved in CH NDIS client care and supportPerforming client support, program and shift duties as required across the MHPDesired Skills and ExperienceWhat you'll bring:Relevant post-secondary qualification plus experience working in a similar role and environment with similar clientsExperience supporting NDIS clients to achieve their goalsExperience in working in NDIS services and with NDIS stakeholdersExperience supporting clients with complex supports needs to manage their mental health issuesExperience collaborating with women from diverse backgrounds, cultures, religions, and sexualityExperience with client crisis management, de-escalation of incidents and management of client behavioural and support issuesMental Health First Aid Training or willingness to attend course within two months of commencement of employmentChild Safe Environments Training or willingness to attend course within two months of commencement of employmentFood Safety Certificate or willingness to attain within two months of commencement of employment.Client case note recording including electronic data systemsWhat we offer in returnMake a tangible difference in the lives of vulnerable clients, empowering them to achieve their goals and improve their well-beingSalary Packaging for living expenses, meal, and entertainment expensesPlease note that it is a minimum requirement of this position that all appointments are made subject to a satisfactory National Criminal History or Police Check conducted by Housing Choices Australia and the successful post holder to:Agree and undergo any other employment screening as required by Catherine House- including but not restricted to Working with Children or Vulnerable Persons and NDIS Worker (this will be as applicable based on the state location and/or function of the role)Agree and comply with Child Safety policies and proceduresProvide a current driver's license and willingness to travel across locations, if and as required.#J-18808-Ljbffr
