The successful applicant will conduct innovative research and teach across a broad range of areas, including advanced manufacturing, Industry 4.0, sustainable manufacturing, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, computer-aided engineering, and advanced engineering materials.
Proven research experience in one or more of these fields is essential.The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to secure research funding and excellence in teaching and learning in higher education.
The role involves collaborating with colleagues within the School and across the University, designing curriculum, teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and supervising students.The successful candidate will also be expected to foster links with external partners, including industry, government, and community.
The incumbent will be involved in developing and delivering innovative interdisciplinary academic programs related to advanced manufacturing.About YouThe ideal candidate will hold a PhD or equivalent in a relevant field.
They will have demonstrated experience in advanced manufacturing, robotics, sustainable manufacturing, mechanical engineering, or related areas.
Experience in smart robotics, automation, and autonomous systems is highly desirable.The successful candidate will have a strong track record and international reputation for excellence in research and development, evidenced by peer-reviewed publications, patents, and established research collaborations.The candidate will demonstrate the capacity to secure substantial research funding and have evidence of curriculum development and program delivery in Advanced Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering.CultureWestern Sydney University highly values equity and inclusiveness.
