JOB DESCRIPTION: You must be confident to visit our clients in their homes and take our treasured clients into the community for social participation leading towards independence. Depending on the individual client's needs, you will help with a range of personal and lifestyle needs while providing companionship. You may be required to do meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, shopping, and possible Personal Care (ADL; showering, dressing, and health care support). The day may involve giving mental health support to clients who may be depressed or responding to schizophrenia, assisting clients to go into the community, taking them to appointments, or forming companionship with them. YOU MUST HAVE: A passion for helping others and honesty.
Your role as a Support Worker has a great positive impact on the lives of your clients. A minimum of Cert 3 in Home & Community Care/Aged Care or equivalent disability, Community care, etc. NDIS Worker Clearance Check. Current First Aid Certificate with CPR. A recent National Police Check. Current Working with Children Check. Current Victorian Driver Licence, your own car with Registration and Insurance.
