Title: Senior/Lead Control Systems Engineer
Location: Perth, WA
We are seeking a Senior/Lead Control Systems Engineer to join our team.
This is a full-time, on-site leadership role, where you will drive the development, implementation, and optimization of advanced control systems across various industries.
You will oversee projects from concept to commissioning, provide technical guidance to team members, and ensure systems meet the highest standards of efficiency, reliability, and safety.
In this role, you will play a pivotal role in defining system architectures, mentoring junior engineers, and collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver robust solutions.
Your expertise in process control, electrical engineering, and advanced troubleshooting will be instrumental in shaping the success of our projects.
Key Responsibilities: Lead the design, development, and deployment of control systems, including PLCs, SCADA, HMI systems, and Distributed Control Systems (DCS).
Specialize in Rockwell Automation, Schneider Electric Automation, and DCS solutions, leveraging your expertise to deliver tailored system designs and implementations.
Develop and review process control strategies and system architectures to optimize operational efficiency.
Provide technical oversight and mentorship to engineers and technicians, ensuring quality and consistency across projects.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements, technical specifications, and deliverables.
Conduct system integration, factory acceptance testing (FAT), and site commissioning.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company quality protocols.
Identify and resolve complex technical issues through advanced troubleshooting techniques.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging new technologies and methodologies.
Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
Qualifications: Proven experience (10+ years) in process control, control systems design, and systems engineering, with a focus on leadership roles.
Expertise in Rockwell Automation, Schneider Electric Automation, and DCS solutions, with hands-on experience in system design, programming, and integration.
Extensive knowledge of electrical engineering principles and industrial automation.
Expertise in programming, configuring, and troubleshooting PLCs (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens), SCADA, and HMI systems.
Strong understanding of industry protocols such as Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, OPC, and BACnet.
Experience in industries such as process plants, marine, mining, or manufacturing is highly desirable.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage projects, and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering innovative solutions.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, or Control Systems Engineering (Master's degree preferred).
Certifications in automation systems or relevant software platforms are a plus.
