About your opportunity:
Fixed term temporary part-time, 30.4 hours per fortnight, commencing ASAP up to 30/06/2027.
The Queensland Youth Cancer Service (QYCS) provides expert care to young people aged between 15-25 years of age with cancer.
Our service specialises in diagnosis, treatment and psychosocial support for young people and their families.
The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) – Cancer Care Coordinator will be responsible for the provision of support, coordination and education of patients to improve access to cancer services, treatments and cancer care, and provide expert planning and coordination skills in clinical management.
The CNC will identify complex ambulatory patients through comprehensive assessment and identification of current and potential emotional, psychosocial, physical and practical needs of complex cancer patients and carers/families and provide quality discharge planning, support and referrals for complex cancer patients throughout Queensland and interstate as required.

Generous remuneration package: value up to $65,878 p.a.
comprising: Salary range of $66.85 to $72.58 p.h.
(Nurse Grade 7) Annual leave with 17.5% loading 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.

Workforce Attraction Incentive Scheme:
Eligible health workers who make the move (interstate or international) to work with us may receive up to $20,000 under the Queensland Health Workforce Attraction Incentive Scheme (conditions apply).
Role Requirements:
Proof of qualification (Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent), registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate.
Highly Desirable: Post graduate qualifications relevant to the position would be highly desirable.
Experience and clinical competence in the field of Apheresis Nursing is essential.
Shift Workers: Appointees will be required to work all shifts in accordance with the unit roster, which may include participation in an on-call roster.
This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
Probation period may apply.
