In this role you will be a key influencer to drive our safety culture with our Branch Managers and Heads of Departments within NSW.
This is an exciting role where you can support the development, implementation and ongoing execution of safety initiatives, compliance, and workers compensation.
This role would appeal to a highly motivated, safety driven and technically competent individual who has at least 3 years' experience in a safety advisory role and a passion for coaching managers, supervisors, and operational teams.
Assertive and solution-orientated, you will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across all levels of the organisation, strong documentation skills and a high attention to detail.
You will also hold formal WHS qualifications and Return to Work Coordination qualifications.
Your Key Responsibilities will include : Provide key support in the development, implementation and ongoing monitoring of safety policies, management plans and associated procedures Worker's compensation and return to work management; Hazard ID, risk assessment and control Incident investigation, reporting and analysis Actively train and coach the site operational management teams Provide expert advice and practical solutions to operations teams to ensure safety compliance Regularly participate in toolboxes, pre starts and safety initiatives To be successful in this role you will have the following key skills & experience :
A minimum of 3 years' experience in the same or a similar role; Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with ability to liaise and influence key stakeholders at operational and management level Ability to guide and coach Managers, Supervisors and operational teams Formal WHS qualifications (Minimum Cert IV in Work Health & Safety) Solid working knowledge of WHS codes of practice, standard & their requirements Experience in hazard identification, risk management and incident investigation Demonstrated success in both coordinating and leading effective WHS initiatives Great interpersonal skills, together with strong written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated experience in working with the Workers' Compensation and Injury Management Act and a working knowledge of injury management procedures, practices and regulations; Excellent reporting, interpersonal and communication skills; and Working knowledge of Australian safety standards If you believe you can add to this dedicated team and support their business growth and continuously improving safety culture we look forward to your application.
