Hybrid Working Environment | Flexible Options AvailableContribute to high-impact legal advice for a leading general insurer / Work with an established and highly skilled team of lawyers Working as a Lawyer in our team, you'll provide legal advice and guidance to the Commercial Insurance business of a large general insurer, ensuring that Suncorp's interests are protected in a complex regulatory environment.
Your advice will be central to product development, regulatory compliance, claims and distribution, enabling our business to adapt, innovate, and comply with key regulatory standards.
What You'll Do Provide high-quality legal advice in respect of the interpretation and drafting of product disclosure statements and policy wordingsReview, draft and advise on contractual documentationProvide guidance on compliance with financial services legislation and other relevant regulation such as privacy lawsProvide advice on the insurer's liability on commercial claims and advice on the application of the Insurance Contracts ActPartner with stakeholders on review of customer facing materials including marketing, websites and customer portalsWhat You'll Bring Practising Certificate and admission as a Solicitor or Barrister in any Australian Court5+ years post admission experience, preferably within a top tier law firm, a general insurer or within the financial services industryStrong analytical abilitiesExceptional communication skillsWhat we can offer Discounts and offers on a range of retail favourite stores as well as insurance productsGive back to our communities with payroll giving, donation matching and paid volunteer leaveInvest in your brighter future with ongoing study support and career development programsPrioritise your work/life balance with our robust employee assistance program and dedicated employee councilAt Suncorp we believe we are our best when our workforce is as diverse, talented and passionate as the communities in which we live and operate, and where our people feel included, valued and connected.
