We are looking for an experienced and motivated Network Project Lead to join our fun and growing team within the Infrastructure Delivery-Network Deployment department.
Our team's responsibilities are varied and involve project work managing new deployments in regions.
As a Network Project Lead, you will be closely working with our internal customers, vendors, and other regional colleagues.
You will be an ideal candidate if you are autonomous, detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills, and experienced in supporting enterprise-class networks.
You as a Network Project Lead will have experience in installation and troubleshooting of networking hardware with a proven background in successful project delivery.
This role will provide you with high levels of autonomy to drive the stability and sustainability of our next-generation networks and to assist in the delivery of new AWS region deployments.
As a Network Project Lead, you will be working with established best practices to refine operational procedures, develop new tooling, and constantly think proactively and innovatively.
Your desire and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment will be the key to success in this role.
Our ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working autonomously, is detail-oriented, possesses strong written and verbal communication skills as well as being competent in all aspects of installation and troubleshooting of networking hardware, software, and fiber connectivity.
This position requires that you will work with minimum supervision to assist in the development of innovative ways to automate and scale our data center deployments as we expand.
The desire and ability to work in an ambiguous, collaborative environment is essential for success.
In addition, the role will require International travel of up to 50-80%.
Key Job Responsibilities Create network rack splits and Position Plans for placement of network racks on a Data Centre Floor.
HLD reviews.
Accurate Inventory planning, optimizing and doing the PR/PO process.
Manage vendors and suppliers conversations for prompt delivery to ensure a project is never delayed due to materials.
Detailed independent planning for landing of network racks, power, position and do network rack configurations.
Drive, improvise and implement structured cabling in new builds based on prior lessons learnt and latest AWS standards.
Be onsite at the project location (local or travel to site) to configure, test network switches, routers on multiple racks and troubleshoot fiber networks work with onsite vendors, remote Network and Systems engineers and hand off the network in stipulated amount of predefined time.
Ability to do the above for multiple projects concurrently.
Shadow and project on-the-job training to junior colleagues.
Take up Continuous Improvement initiatives.

Minimum Requirements Broad understanding and knowledge of infrastructure technologies including cabling infrastructure, fiber optics, and various testing equipment such as VFL, power meter, and OTDR.
Experienced in working with cabling infrastructure including network troubleshooting (routing/interconnectivity issues/device configuration).
Understanding of networking best practices and networking fundamentals.
Experienced in understanding and defining the Power and Cooling requirements for various different types of equipment.
Excellent analytical skills with abilities to prioritize tasks based on variety of project requirements as well as bridging communication gap (if any) and working collaboratively with various stakeholders to remove project obstacles and deliver results.
Qualifications Associate of Science (AS) or Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Information Assurance with additional certifications like CCNA, CCNP or JNCIA.
5+ years of mid-level and/or enterprise experience as a technician or engineer or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Good understanding of major Network Operating Systems from various vendors e.g.
Cisco IOS, JunOS etc.
Good understanding of and common Networking Protocols e.g.
BGP, OSPF etc.
Experienced working in enterprise-grade virtualization networking environments.
Working experience with IT best practice frameworks e.g.
ITIL, LEAN, AGILE etc.
Experience with Operational Excellence concepts or methodologies.
Physical requirement: Ability to move and lift computer equipment up to 50lbs (25kg) is preferred, however there are equipment lifters in most locations to assist.
