The role
A position has become available for an experienced landscape and civil senior estimator to join our team.
We are looking for a capable, highly motivated individual with the drive to grow with our business.
This is a full time position based in our head office based in Alexandria.
To be successful in this role, the applicant will be a self-motivated professional with a strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Complete commercial tenders from release of tender through to handover, for contracts up to $3mil.
Analysis of tender selection based on resources, timeframes and project requirements.
Breaking down documentation into trades/suppliers and creating subcontractor scopes and packages.
Measuring and quantifying all aspects of each project.
Evaluations, comparisons and negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors.
First principal pricing of hardscape, softscape and civil works.
Construction programming and methodology writing.
Formulating construction budgets for the site team.
Assessment and pricing of variations.
Skills and Experience
To be a successful in this role you will:
Proven previous estimating experience with high attention to detail.
Tertiary qualified and/or experience in commercial landscaping.
Be team oriented and demonstrate an ability to produce information in a timely and accurate manner.
Ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
Sound computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook), OST and Workbench (not essential)
Positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
